    Dec 14, 2008 · i happen to also be doing the same thing, converting dvi to hdmi but from a computer to a tv. dvi-d to hdmi does support true 1080p. in fact, hdmi supports the resolutions such as 480p, 480i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p but do not accept monitor resolutions like 1440X900.

    Jul 11, 2016 · hello, I just today bought the gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 gaming edition, and I noticed it supports dual link dvi-d, hdmi-2.0b up to 60 hz on 4096x2160 res., and display port 1.4 at 60 hz on 7680x4320. I saw someone say that dual link dvi'd does not support 144hz (i have a benq xl2411z 144hz monitor) and the other two show that it only goes up to 60hz.
