The current BT Vision boxes do not support Freeview HD, as they do not have DVB-T2 built-in. New boxes would be needed. No official word on BT boxes that support Freeview HD, but 2012 would be a good bet, especially with YouView set to launch this year,

I bought a new BT G4 box from Currys about 8 weeks ago and im now using that for my BT TV services and just use the old style BT Youview box as a smart Freeview recorder. I still think that the Vision serice may close sometime next year.

Dec 27, 2007 · I went and bought a HDMI lead and a switcher box as my TV as only one HDMI input and discounted the scart lead and changed the settings within BT vision to output at 1080i and now I am really happy with the picture quailty and the and the quailty of the menu text on the menu screen, it's now better than the built in freeview on my TV and as good as SD on sky.
