Jan 12, 2010 · Why is it that new Netbooks shipping with Intel's newly released N450 Atom CPU are coming with a 32-bit OS installed? More often then not it is a Windows 7 variant. My two theories are that a 64-bit OS eats battery life quicker defeating the Atom power trickle.
