Nov 11, 2012 · I just thought it was common knowledge, but I come out of a far left background (even though I'm not any more) where we knew everything bad ever done by the United States backward and forward. EDIT: The thing is, Pol Pot was a Cambodian nationalist, which means he hated Vietnam. Hence, US support.
