Jan 06, 2012 · Hi. I am currently using the "VCLZip" 3rd components to generate and manipulate zip files. I want to adopt my code to use “TZip” from “System.Zip”, since “VCLZip” in no longer maintained and there is no official version for Delphi XE2. I am missing functions to rename (or remove) files inside an existing zip file.

Jan 16, 2012 · If you only need to create or extract basic zip files, and you have Delphi XE2, System.Zip.pas is probably the best place to start. If you want to support other archive formats in addition to zip (.tar,..gz, .bz2, .cab), you can choose between Abbrevia, JclCompression, and ZipTV.

Aug 26, 2014 · Humphrey. Hyunsoo Kim has a blog post up where he highlights the System.Zip unit which comes with Delphi XE6 Firemonkey. System.Zip.TZipFile was introduced in Delphi XE2 and it is basically a class for creating and extracting compressed ZIP files without any third party components required. I believe you should be able to use the TZipFile class on Android, IOS, Windows, and OSX.
