Jul 09, 2009 · I just added the line to /etc/fstab that is specified for SUSE users on the virtualbox.org faq page and it worked on Debian Lenny without messing with those other files. Just put in your vboxusers group ID number where they have XXX's on that line in the faq.

The host system is Debian Lenny 64bit with kernel 2.6.32 from backports. I have mounted USBFS with full permissions for my user. The TechTools support suggested two possible causes for the hang.
