Dec 23, 2006 · 3. Set DD-WRT to use PPPoE, enter your DSL username and password, and voila. This way, the DSL modem gets the carrier stuff taken care of, and the router handles authentication and gets the external IP address. This is how it should be anyway. I have tested this with many DD-WRT firmware revisions from v23 pre-SP1 to now (using SP2).

Dec 16, 2010 · Not true, PPPoA bridge with DD-WRT is not easy to config, maybe in combination with some modems it will not work correctly. And, which is most important, there is no support for configuring this and no useful help on this forum too. Problems with PPPoA halfbridge is minor problem for DD-WRT developers and they do not care about this.
