Jul 19, 2017 · We usually recommended to turn off simultaneous multithreading ("Hyperthreading") whenever performance issues occur. If applicable, this recommendation is still valid for sequencer versions older than Cubase 7 or Nuendo 6 (most Windows systems offer this option in the BIOS or UEFI setup, whereas "Hyperthreading" cannot be disabled under Mac OS X).

I ran some benchmarks on my new DAW PC, and I tried disabling different processor features (including hyperthreading) one at a time to see how they affected Cubase performance. Jun 29, 2015 · I have contacted support for some clarification about the hardware changes and reactivation process. If turning off hyperthreading makes the system stable, then a few more hours to reinstall KU10 and reactivate it will be time well spent. I'd just like to be sure though.
