No, Vancouver could likely not support a team. I'm pretty sure the only reason the Jays are even viable right now is because there are 6 million people within commuting distance of the stadium, and the owner of the team also owns a fistful of national sports channels as well as the broadcasting rights.

On economics, as is often said, Vancouver is not a "head office City". Corporate support might be an issue for an MLB team here. 81 home games means a lot of boxes will have to be filled.

Is it feasible that Vancouver could harbor an MLB team? I believe it is possible. You would obviously need the start-up capital and proper team/owner at the helm, but if a slightly larger city like Montreal can have a team, Vancouver should also be considered a possibility.
