Jan 01, 2013 · I can use NSFileManager to create a XYZ folder in "/Library/Application Support" in Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6. However, in 10.7, it says "You don't have permission to save XYZ in the folder 'Application Support'".

Aug 15, 2017 · I'm trying to store the user's license key in a folder within Application Support as suggested by Apple docs. The Finder shows a path of Macintosh HD Library Application Support which contains a number of folders for apps ranging from Google to VMWare just as I would expect. If I try to create a new folder there, the Finder causes a "Finder wants to make changes" dialog to appear.

May 20, 2012 · I just upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard, and I'm building a Cocoa application for Mac with Xcode 4. I'm done with the application, but I can't find it in my Finder. I'm used to being able to look under [project name]=>build=>[app name] (so it would be like this for an app called calculator: calculator => build => calculator).

Delete MainMenu.xib from your project. Build in xcode will build a windows executable in the .app file. Copy the Contents folder to a Windows PC, on the Windows PC run the executable inside the Contents/Windows folder.

Jun 14, 2006 · and open my Cocoa application with a parameter (yes the username logged to the mac would be the parameter: <pre> tell application "Finder" to open file "cocoa-application" of folder "application" </pre> But I still don't know how to call my cocoa application with a parameter. Nor how to take in a parameter from the same application. Any ideas?
