Cisco IP Phone 8865 VPN Client support Hello folks, I have a cisco ip phone 8865 at home and I want to connect it by VPN to the work telephony system which run asterisk, any idea how to do this, at home I only have a normal router, it is not a cisco router. In my work I have a VPN server running in a linux box with L2TP certificates.

In Cisco Unified CME 8.5, SCCP IP phones outside of the corporate network can register with the Cisco Unified CME 8.5 through a VPN connection as shown in Figure 1 .

To support an SSL VPN connection, the Cisco IP phone version must be 9.0(2)SR1S or later. For a list of Cisco IP phones that support the SSL VPN client, go to “Cisco Unified Reporting”, select “Unified CM Phone Feature List” and choose “Virtual Private Network Client” from the pull-down menu.
