Dear sir/madam My town home has a flat roof deck . I want to have a metal plate underneath the deck frame with appropriate columns adjacent or inside my home all down to the ground or concrete slab to support little-pool or jacuzzi, an outside kitchen etc... total weight can go to 5000-8000 lb.

Remember to follow local code for deck posts. There are several methods for setting posts. One way is to pour concrete in the post hole, set the post on the concrete and backfill with gravel. To help prevent rotting, this deck will have wooden posts attached to concrete footers above ground.

I do not see the bottom of the actual column itself, does it go into the concrete floor? If not, then there most likely there is no footing to support the weight of the column is holding, and the column was only added to decrease bounce in the floor. This is what I expect since the top was set on the drywall.
