Dec 06, 2012 · My Crossover 30" (3020MDP) will take VGA up to 2560x1600 fine (without the need for custom refresh software). But you can see it struggling as soon as you try to play games or movies with it (flickering, fuzziness and other symptoms). But for general desktop use it handles it a'ok.

VGA to HDMI adapter that supports 2560x1080? Solved. Hey all, I just got a pair of LG 25UM65-P monitors for pretty cheap. I want to connect them to my laptop, but it only has one HDMI and one VGA output, and the monitors don't support VGA. This won't be a problem for too long, since I'm going to switch laptops soon, but in the meantime I want ...

Sep 08, 2016 · Is that gonna work or does that only work when laptop has mini-dp and monitor has VGA not the other way around? Here: 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 via HDMI with a trick it seems the HD 3000 is able to support this on HDMI but I'm still not sure about on VGA…

That adapter is just horriable. The limits for VGA is no where near the those low specifications. DVI-I and VGA can handle my Sony GDM-FW900 at 2304x1440@80Hz, which is nothing compared to my Barco Cine 9. Nvidia better be ready to ship a fully working adapter now when they wish to drop support.

Apr 10, 2010 · If you spend over a thousand dollars on the monitor, you are wasting it's capability by connecting to it via a vga cable. At lower resolutions and on crappier displays, you might not perceive a difference between vga and hdmi or dvi, but it might be apparent on that Dell U2711. I'm sure it will work fine, but it will not be all that it can be.

Re: Dell U3011 Max Reslution Problem with Lattitude E6410 Hi, thanks for the quick reply. What I was trying to get is 2560 x 1600 to my U3011, VGA can't do that and HDMI is restricted to 1920x1200.

Not only is it supported, but, when I tried to compare 1080p transmitted to the same monitor via VGA vs. HDMI, I really could not tell any noticeable difference. This may not be true for all monitors (depending on their D-to-A converters). There w...

Nov 21, 2019 · EVGATech_AdamB say, they wanted to use a VGA to HDMI adapter and that type of configuration does not always work. Hey Adam, I have this exact problem. I am connecting a monitor through the VGA port, and a TV through a VGA to DVI adapter to the DVI port of a GT 710 card at work. But I can't detect, the TV and I can't make it work.
