I have read all over that Apache allows Byte-Range support from default. However I am unable to stream any of our audio files nor am I able to add them to a podcast on itunes because it says that Byte-Range support is not enabled on my server. I have tried looking around to find a solution to this problem but can't seem to find it.

Mar 26, 2013 · You read it as "cPanel sucks because they don't support byte range requests." I read it as "Apple, like any large company who likes to push everyone around, passes the buck yet again." Regardless of whether or not cPanel should / could / would support byte range requests, Apple sucks for blatantly passing the buck like that.

Ive done research and found that its because my IIS does not suport byte-range http requests. Does anyone know how I can easily enable this or a solution on how to stream these mp4 files on my iPad with the video files on my server. Maybe even a hosting that DOES support this type of byte-range requests.

Oct 02, 2012 · It's difficult to find out about byte-range requests: you can test for it, but only once you've been able to put media files up there (unless you can find media files belonging to someone else the same server). Whoever you go with you should ask about this before committing - Apple will reject your podcast if the server can't handle this.
