And it's a longer story: On D620 I was never able to burn double layer dvds, although K3b claims my dvd burner supports both DVD-R DL and DVD+R DL - I've tried to burn DL dvds using K3b, Nero for linux and Brasero - even nautilus was not able to detect correctly inserted dvd so I thought my dvd writer does not support dual layer writing.

May 01, 2016 · An original movie disc is Dual-Layer up to 8.5gb in size. And needs specialized software to compress image down to fit on Single Layer 4.4gb disc. K3b I use after compressing movie disc.and will not deal with copying original movie dvd's. I run DvdShrink in wine for ripping movies and compressing down to fit on a single layer 4.4Gb DVD.
