May 28, 2015 · Proper controller support is on the horizon, but I will point out that Source games in general are not too great with controllers, particularly with the aiming aspect. Having played both L4Ds and CS:GO on the Xbox, I can feel your pain. Yes, I have the same trouble in L4D as well. But it seems more pronounced with Black Mesa.

You can plug and play a controller with HL2 and other valve games from the same era (L4D, TF2, Portal), but not the earlier ones (HL1+expansions, Ricochet probably). I bought Black Mesa in part for the controller support.
