If I try the EETech stand alone USB boot stick, it does work and allow me to "set boot disk". But I'd really like to be able to use BartPE and the A43 File Management app to just copy files from the drive instead of having to decript the whole thing. We're still currently using MEE 6.2.

My machine is a Surface Pro and it requires that the USB support UEFI in order to boot from USB. When I use True Image 2013 to build the boot media by itself, that works and I am able to burn the image to a USB disk and I can successfully boot from it, no issues. But when I use BartPE to create the boot disk, it does not work at all.

We need to update the documentation for BurnInTest v6.0.1002 (and later).
