The Wi-Fi name is 2WIRE followed by the last 3 digits of the gateway serial number (SN). The Wi-Fi password is the 10-digit number inside the brackets of the Wireless Network Key. (Mac OSX users may need to enter a $ character at the beginning of the Wi-Fi password.) Gateway settings screen

Jun 17, 2017 · Does AT&T Uverse support 2.4ghz and 5ghz? I was looking into getting a Wi-Fi extender and wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to get a dual band Wi-Fi extender or just a normal 2.4ghz. I might just get a dual band extender anyway in case something upgrades later down the road.

Jul 26, 2011 · The 2wire gateway seems to operate in a "hub and spoke" type manner. While you may have a nice big static IP subnet, the 2wire needs to manage each IP address directly, vs. letting my firewall work, as it has perfectly for about 10 years. I personally use a SonicWall TZ190 (and previously older models of SonicWall devices).
