Aug 29, 2005 · I've found that a lot of people have had issues getting OpenCL to work properly on ATI/AMD HD 4xxx series cards, because support for them was sort of an afterthought and they never had a full implementation in software.

Aug 29, 2005 · ATI HD4650 is opencl 1.0 compatible.No, it has OpenCL 1.0 beta support at best. And isn't very fast by today's standards. You can also only use it on one or two projects where the requirements aren't that high, and even then you're burning quite a lot of electricity for not much output.

Jun 25, 1999 · I hear there has been a problem for a long time with OpenCL on ATI GPUs for iMacs with the ATI Radeon HD 4670 for a long time. I had some hope this would be fixed with the SETI@home 7.08 version, but the problem persisted...at least for me.

Oct 26, 2009 · Some of the new iMacs have an ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card. On Apple's Snow Leopard technical specifications page, they list all of the graphics card that work with OpenCL. The ATI Radeon HD 4670 isn't one of them! What does this mean? Have Apple simply not updated the page, or do the new iMacs not support OpenCL?
