Feb 19, 2010 · The amdppm.sys driver is for CPUs based on the Phenom products. You are probably correct with the amdk7.sys driver, but you will need one that is for Windows 7. Basically you have outdated hardware that Acer is not providing Windows 7 support for and you will have to search the internet for drivers compatible with Win 7, if there are any.

Ok, where and how do I get 64 bit drivers for an AMD Athlon X2 64-bit Inspiron to run under XP 64-bit O/S? When I go to the Drivers download and attempt to use the drivers that come up there by selecting XP as the O/S, most of the drivers will NOT install under the 64 bit O/S.
