I installed Windows on my old P-ATA HD due ti the fact that I did not have a S-ATA HD yet. Now I do and I installed the new HD but Windows tells me it is a P-ATA HD and in my Bios I cannot enable the S-ATA.

Aug 04, 2015 · I upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro Insider and then Windows 10 Pro while my PC was set to AHCI mode in the BIOS. I need to have it set to ATA mode for legacy reasons (relating to a dual boot). Does Windows 10 automatically switch the driver on boot or would I need to manually enable the driver? Thanks.
