Feb 15, 2016 · VT-d support on z77 (Asus motherboards) So I am thinking in the next month or so grabbing a second hand 3770 (non k) which does support VT-d which is required to do GPU pass through and other I/O in a VM, as I plan to mess around with Linux and VM's after my exams are done.

Apr 26, 2013 · After discussing with Intel FAE, it has just officially confirmed to my Asus contact that the VT-D support mentioned on the Intel's own P67/H67 board spec page is a misprint, and will be removed to avoid further misunderstanding. The official support for VT-D begins from Q67 series, and so is vPRO. For your reference.

Feb 10, 2015 · VT-d support on M7G I always very much appreciated the ASUS motherboards, in fact, I always had an ASUS board powering my machines. Currently I'm looking for a new upgrade, and the Maximus VII Gene Z97 got my attention (in combination with the i7-4790k).

These motherboards are known to have broken BIOS preventing IO virtualization (VT-d IOMMU) from working: Supermicro X7SB4 (with official BIOS 1.2a) has broken ACPI DMAR table with zero length entries. BIOS version 1.3 Beta fixes the problem. Samsung X460 laptop: BIOS doesn't provide DMAR table so VT-d cannot be used.
