Asians should support the Democratic party for the same reason everyone else should support the Democratic party; in a FPTP system, you have to vote for the least-bad viable party, and the Ds, for all their faults, do not dwell in the depths of paranoid irrationality and self-seeking corruption that are now de rigueur for the Rs.
