Sep 04, 2017 · After adding Chinese, Simplified to Language option on Mac, East Asian Languages preference in Microsoft Word in Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac isn't appearing. I've tried fully uninstalling Microsoft Office on the Mac, following Microsoft's instructions online then re-installing Office and same issue occurred.

Apr 05, 2017 · The East Asian Languages option is missing in the Word Preferences pane. Unfortunately, this forum pop-up message says I can't attach any images until my account is verified. So I'm just gonna let you know my Mac and Word version below. Basically, there's no East Asian Languages option in the Word Preferences pane in your screen capture above.
