Sep 23, 2009 · As I said, any copy of DOS you have should come with CD support (if you intend to use it, that is, instead of just collecting it). If you're collecting a copy then you don't care about CD support, if you're actually using a copy of DOS then you should have one that has basics like CD support. Reading, it gets you places.

My Config.Sys file appears to be missing, preventing me from booting up Windows XP Home edition. I also do not have the original Windows installs CD's. Any suggestions. Also, it appears the laptop will not support Windows 7. Thank You.

Apr 04, 2001 · How do I get Win98 to recognize my CD-ROM when I restart Windows98 in MS-DOS mode. MS-DOS comes up okay, but will not recognize my CD-ROM. Currently, my autoexec.bat and config.sys files have nothing in them. I'm assuming something has to be setup in these files. Can someone please help? thanks
