The issue is that my routers are all fifth and sixth generation (the latest) Apple Time Capsules / Airport Extremes. Apparently, Cox's IPV6 system has always had issues with these Apple routers to the point where Cox finally suggested that everyone using such routers disable IPV6 connectivity.

Nov 22, 2018 · Since Apple officially discontinued the Time Capsule earlier this year, I would be extremely surprised if they offered any additional updates for the product, so I would not look for any SMB2 or SMB3.1 support from Apple on this product.
