Oct 07, 2019 · If you don't have it, try a different Apple USB cable. Switch to a different USB port on your computer. Don't plug into your keyboard. Switch to a USB port on a different computer. If you still see the error, check for other USB issues, check your third-party security software, then check your hardware. If you still see an error, contact Apple Support.

Dec 12, 2006 · Try with the iPod in forced disk mode. Putting iPod into disk mode . Still no joy, see these. iTunes 7 doesn't recognize the iPod . Your Windows PC doesn't recognize iPod . iPod appears in Windows Explorer but does not appear in iTunes . iPod does not appear in iTunes . Fast user switching in Windows XP is not supported.

Nov 26, 2011 · You can try and place your iPod in either diagnostic mode and run the test to see what it shows. You can also try to place it in disk mode and see if you can reformat or even access the drive. The low battery could be just that, a low battery that has been discharged below the threshold at which the iPod can charge it. I believe that to be 2.7 volts.
