Sep 15, 2009 · So to make a compression-only support in MAPDL (sorry, using new names of ANSYS products here), you need to create a copy of the face you want to apply the load to, and mesh it with target elements with the amesh command, and then mesh the flexible body face with the proper contact elements (once again, using amesh). If your model starts working, you can close this Discussion by clicking Is Solution below the post that best answered your question.
