Aug 26, 2004 · Looking at clarifying desupport of Oracle database 8i. On certification matrix for 11i it says 11i on W2k: Desupport Information: RDBMS 8.1.7: E-Business Suite 11i customers (with certified combinations) running against 8.1.7.4 will remain supported until 01-January-2005. I am aware that 8.1.7 is desupported at year-end, but from RDBMS group that means that just won't fix new problems.

Hi Tom I'm trying to find out WHY Oracle does not have a direct upgrade path from Oracle 8i ( Rel 8.1.5 & 8.1.6) to Oracle 10g (10.1.0) In all documentation I have read there is no particular reason WHY those 2 relases of 8i are not supported for direct upgrade.
