Android devices does NOT support contact sharing via short text messages (vCard SMS) the way we used to do it e.g. on Nokia phones. It does not even support receiving business cards via SMS and it just swallows that kind of incomming messages so user has no clue about that somebody sent him business card and, what worse, the sender receives success delivery notification.

VCards normally vary between 5-15 KB, so by creating a filter that puts all messages containing the words "MMS" in your inbox under the 25 KB threshold and deleting everything over 25 KB and everything not containing "MMS" the VCard will show up in your inbox while all other messages are deleted, not taking up useless space somewhere in your email.

Mar 14, 2011 · When I recieve vcard's via sms text messages I open the message and touch the vcard, it says "the vcard has been imported succesfully". When I go to my contacts list the supposed vcard entry does not show up in the list.
