Jun 07, 2018 · It seems that even after 4 months of stuck in UVD feature on 1st gen GCN cards, amd is unaware of it. My guess is that AMD support treats word UVD within tickets as spam. This issue does not hit me personally but others maybe need fixes from newer drivers.Reviews: 37

Ubuntu 13.10 is shipped with a version of mesa that needs to update to get the full performance out of the UVD decoder. This is simply be done by adding the Updated and Optimized Open Graphics Drivers PPA.
