This was the ONLY board that I could find that had AM3/AM2+/AM2 support, with SLi support, with DDR2 RAM ports. I personally believe that DDR3 RAM isn't worth the money you have to pay for it. DDR2 RAM will do just fine. I'd highly recommend this board to any Nvidia GPU/AMD CPU user looking to do SLi.

I'm currently looking into the GTX470/480 (though abit heavy price/performancewise) that i would like to pair with a AM3 mobo, though there's no SLI support around. AMD's own chipsets (790/809 variants) only support CF, and the nvidia chipset mobos are lacking, if not outdated.

Feb 23, 2017 · I used them on a (now defunct) nForce4 SLI board on XP pro 32bit - with SLI, of course! Board dead, long live SLI. So i thought. I bought an MSI 970A SLI Krait (SLI on 8x/8x), with an AMD FX 4320. Both cards are recognized, and provide the desktop on all 4 DVI-D ports, when asked kindly (i'm always polite with the elderly).
