After connecting the formatted USB drive to your base station, choose Finder > Preferences, then select ”External disks” to see the shared drive in the Finder sidebar. Nov 27, 2009 · The AirPort Express doesn't support hard drives, only printers. If you want to share an external hard drive, you need AirPort Extreme.
