This is known to have occured with a Verisign digital certificate. - OR - Microsoft ActiveSync cannot synchronize a mailbox if the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 store contains a corrupted e-mail item.

Nov 02, 2009 · I have an Exchange 2007/2010 coexistence. Everything is working fine except ActiveSync with an Exchange 2010 Mailbox. Both OWAs are working, as is Outlook and ActiveSync works with 2007 Mailboxes. When I try to sync with a 2010 Mailbox I just get: ActiveSync encountered a problem on the server.
