Mar 20, 2011 · Decks are pricey nowadays and I want to build this well and then forget about how much it cost. I found what seems to be a good contractor and although he typically buries the 6x6's, which seems to be the norm around here, I want it built better. Hopefully using sonotubes is an improvement in spite of less lateral support than burying the 6x6's.
