I am on 3-Way SLI since gtx480 and i play every game witch equal GPU efficiency. Third card gives you effective power - easy seen betweene 2-way and 3-way sli. New games in S3D need three cards to go maximum - althou i agree that there is no game at the moment which can efficiently use gtx680 in 2-way sli even in 3D Surround.

Jun 11, 2016 · Good, focus on 2 way SLI. If you actually look into 3 and 4 way SLI at least in the context of gaming, its a complete waste of money. Way too many instances where youre either getting tiny performance improvements or in a lot of cases nothing at all.
