Jan 26, 2017 · Zune 120 was working great and it shut down and came back up with the message "5" "contact support". What do I need to do to fix this?? I love this machine and am disappointed that it has stopped working. I got this mid-May of this year. I've bought several of the accessories for this zune and have invested a great deal of money in the who thing.

Aug 16, 2008 · i have the exact same problem with my 30gb (which i actually sold and am trying to fix for a friend)it charges and goes to the logo screen with no loading bar at the bottom it then blinks to the contact support screen 5 message. do you think its my ribbon cord? should i send the zune in to be fixed or just order the parts and fix it myself?(willing and able!..at the buyers expense of course) :?

Feb 04, 2008 · so basically, if your zune is less than one year old, it should be covered provided that the repair is not needed because of something listed in section e. if it's out of warranty, you should still contact zune support just to inquire how much it would cost depending on what is exactly wrong with your zune, if they even do out-of-warranty repairs

Mar 23, 2009 · My 80GB starts and shows the Zune logo but it won't load and then after a while it says "Contact Support" with a 5 circled on the top left. I have no back-up files for the stuff I have on this, and it would be so sad if it all has to be thrown away.

I open, plug my Zune in (not sure if correctly, I'm still learning how to work this), and once I get it on, it says "contact support". It never said it before, so based on searches on this subreddit, it's a faulty cable. I know Microsoft discontinued Zune, so there's no way to contact them, but I don't know what to do.
