I had the same problem - downloaded a free program and next thing I knew, Yahoo had taken over my Firefox search bar. One solution that works for me (Windows 7, 64-bit) is to do the following: Go into the computer C: drive > Program Files (x86) > Mozilla Firefox > searchplugins.

Jan 12, 2007 · Wellll, Yahoo doesn't have a browser, although it offers a toolbar specially configured to the Internet Explorer (Microsoft) browser. What I'd suggest is if you have genuine Windows XP with Service Pack 2, you go to the Microsoft update site and download all the high priority updates, and also Internet Explorer 7, the newest browser.
