Aug 12, 2018 · The IA64 XP edition does support EFI out of interest. Apparently only the IA64 edition, x86 and x86-64 versions of XP never supported nor shipped with files for efi boot. Itanium is incompatible with x86. Derf wrote: Media Center 2005 (which is 32-bit only) does actually have EFI support.

I have a working embedded XP system for a 32-bit netbook. But when we got the latest shipment of netbooks, the system stopped working. Couldn't even get the first boot to run. After going down serveral blind alleys, I discovered that older netbooks were BIOS-based, and the new ones are EFI-based. And I pretty sure that is the source of my grief.

Oct 09, 2019 · EFI does not provide this software. MGI, or dealers that support these older controllers, would/should be able to provide the software. The installation software set you need consists of a System disc and a User Software disc. The Windows XP OS installer is "built-in" to above-mentioned set.
