Jul 23, 2010 · Lack of XP 64 bit, not lack of 64 bit support. XP 64 is an old niche OS. A very good OS, but never widely deployed. It is based on a very different kernel than XP 32 bit or Vista/Windows 7, so developing anything for it is unique.-steve

Browsing the website revealed this interesting bit of info: "Operating system: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (32-bit edition only)" Am I missing something, or did Microsoft really drop XP64 support for messenger?
