It use to be (relatively) safe to be one macOS version behind. That is no longer true.. It's better to not update iOS devices before updating Xcode. Xcode can build on older iOS, the reverse will not work. – bauerMusic Apr 8 '18 at 18:24

Ok, it is not under Organizer any more with the new Xcode. It should be under Devices. Although I see no way to add the device to the Provisioning Profile here, and the auto fix does not work either. Is their a way to automatically have it added to the profile. – MajorHavoc Nov 5 '14 at 17:48
