Nov 23, 2014 · All three of them bypass Windows mixer, passing unaltered data to your hardware. ASIO and KS have the advantage of low latency, which is important in music production. The disadvantage of ASIO is that not all cards support it. KS support was always considered 'somewhat experimental', although I never had problems using it in Foobar.

Then came thecYrus, pointing out the same idea as NotMediaSavvy : "it's pretty nice to have DSP support. But I think you should add VST support instead of doing yet another plugin format.
