Mar 16, 2017 · I have a Server running Windows Server 2012 R2 with WSUS installed. Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Server 2012 R2, Server 2012, and Server 2008 R2 clients connect properly and get updates. I recently installed a couple Windows Server 2016 clients and they do not work with our WSUS running on 2012 R2 it appears.

Aug 05, 2016 · That said, as the only way you're going to be able to make use of an AlwaysOn (unless it's part of a System Center deployment) is by changing the database settings found in the registry under "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Update Services\Server\Setup" (based on WSUS on Server 2012 R2), so I doubt it's something they've seriously thought about.
