You need WSDL 2.0 (or WADL) to describe REST service. Support for WSDL 2.0 is currently very limited and wsimport doesn't support it. I'm not Java developer but I think that wsimport is only for SOAP services (JAX-WS and it doesn't support WSDL 2.0 as well). Edit: Check this extension. It should allow you exposing JAX-WS service with JSON encoding.

Support reply (so far) is to use the Ant <exec> task to execute wsimport externally. So hopefully they'll agree that getting the jar(s) updated in order to support this with the <wsimport> task is an appropriate product fix to make.

Aug 01, 2006 · Hi All, wscompile supports wsi flag to enable WSI-Basic Profile features, to be used for document/literal, and RPC/literal. wsimport does not support wsi flag. Any suggestions on how to make wsi work with wsimport. Any help appreciated. SP
