The WS-X6724-SFP and the WS-F6700-DFC3B were replaced. The memory for the DFC3B was also moved across to the new WS-X6724-SFP. The module worked again for 24 hours and then started to fail again with the same issue. This indicated that we still have a communications issue between the 6724 and the supervisor.

Jan 29, 2017 · When cu uninstalled the WS- X6724-SFP , the inter vlan traffic of WS-X6516A-GBIC will work again. Cu found if they keep the WS- X6724-SFP module on the chassis, they must explicitly configure the access-list on the inter vlan of WS-X6516A-GBIC. If you delete the access-list, the inter vlan traffic of WS-X6516A-GBIC will break again.
