Jul 20, 2009 · The WRT600n "does" support jumbo frames. As long as your network card supports jumbo frames, then I think it rests at a DD-WRT issue that I would not mind seeing resolved. Maybe one size frame for your internet (like DSL using 1492) and then a 'local' network frame size of something much bigger. _____ E3000 22200M KongVPN K26

hi, i've been playing around with my environment to try and increase speeds and have started to modify and test jumbo frames / MTU. according to the WRT600N manual, the recommended mtu size is between 1200-1500, but can be changed when changing from auto to manual.

The switch chip is jumbo capable, but the specific tg3 ethernet controller it is attached to is not, therefore you cannot set an mtu higher than 1500.

Mar 20, 2008 · Version v3 fixes the well known problems of v1 - noisy fan, no jumbo frame support. Also fixes v2.X issue of overheating. The SD2008 has gotten some justifiably bad reviews based on the earlier v1 & v2.x designs. I had a SD2005 (the 5-port version of the SD2008) v2 suddenly fail (no link on any ports) after 1 year, and Cisco issued3.1/5(43)

I can confrim this same issue with a 310n as well, running Thanks

[WRT600N] LAN Speed If my NIC, router, and NAS (ZyXEL NSA-220) all are 10/100/1000M, what should file transfer speeds be? Of the three devices, only the NAS has optional settings for jumbo frames.

Nov 16, 2009 · The Jumbo Frame support would be nice, but not a must have. THe DD-WRT option is something I want though, even if I stick with the stock FW for the time being. More options are always better. If I find that I really need the Jumbo Frame support in the future I could just pick up a seperate 5/8 port switch that does support it.

The Realtek switch chip supports up to 9K jumbo frames, and I found that it handled 4K jumbo frames just fine. D-Link still doesn't spec jumbo frame support. Figure 2: DGL-4500 main board. Although both radios use Atheros XSPAN chipsets, they are not the same board.

May 22, 2009 · Nice to see you over at the D-Link forums drick. I use to have only Linksys products but have switch all of my equipment over to D-Link. I finally got tired of Linksys moping around with fixing critical issues with the WRT-610N (constant drops and disconnects).
