Nov 18, 2014 · To port WPF to MONO is great idea. I’m just dreaming about that. Anyway, it’s a lot of work to implement this framework in cross-platform way, since the current Microsoft’s implementation is tightly coupled with Windows and DirectX.

I feel that it's a good idea to keep your logic separate from your UI anyways - if you do that, you can always make sure the logic works correctly in Mono, and use WPF for your UI.

Regarding WPF, I believe you cannot do it in Linux. You must be aware that Mono, which works great in Linux, is a subset of .NET and will probably never support everything that is available in Windows.
