I know this is a very old post and what I'm about to post myself is a little different, but I wanted to give others hope who are trying to use their older laptop with an older WPC11 v.4 card on a WPA/WPA2 wireless network. I got mine to work! So I'm using an Apple Airport Extreme. I have the encryption set up as WPA/WPA2 Personal.

I forgot an important point. The problem appears to be security. The WPC11 seems only to have WEP but the router uses WPA-PSK [TKIP] or WPA2-PSK [AES]. Do I have to use the weak WEP security or is there some way to use either of the other two listed?

Did anyone ever find the driver that really does add the WPA? I have an older laptop that doesn't even have a ethernet port and the WPC11 ver. 4 is all I have to connect, but when we went to WPA I can't use it anymore. I downloaded the latest driver I could find from linksys, but it was a zip file that installed version 2.1 and Boingo.

Feb 08, 2012 · Second question WPA2, now this is something I’ve encountered also. I don’t not believe the v2 prism drivers support anything more then WPA. However, this is still a big step up from WEP. I can only suggest you try to configure your routers wifi security, to make it compatible with the Amiga.
