It was always possible (edit: OK, not quite) to set it to anything you wanted, even "255" (binary 11111111, use all 8 logical cores of a quad-core processor). May 10, 2012 · You get the best out of wow by throwing beefier hardware and bigger numbers at it. A multi-core processor can potentially place other threads which are not wow on another core, but the benefits to wow between dual and quad core are minimal at best.
