Apr 17, 2016 · yet i know that winre.wim has wifi support component installed. i also watched an early presentation of W10 in MSFT Build (don't remember witch one) and the idea was that would be possible to restore, reinstall or preform a baremetal restore via internet, i believe with the use of a USB with winre. but then never mentioned on another occasion.

Even the latest (at the time of writing) WinPE version 1709 (10.0.16299) does not provide native wireless support. If we look at the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) you can find an additional optional component that provides WiFi support for the WinRE. I'm creating a custom WinPE 4.0 for OS deployment and i would like to have WIFI working but I cant get it to work.... I used the instructions here for WinPE 3.1 but this doesn't work in WinPE 4.0 (tested this script on WinPE 3.1 and WIFI working fine).

I've got a bonehead question - first of many, perhaps - regarding the procedure for creating an Acronis WinPE recovery tool with wireless support. The doc says the the ISO and ADK level must match and must be prior to Win10 1607 when wireless support was dropped from WinRE.
